The Courage Of Continuance

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

Hold On Pain Ends (H.O.P.E)

Keeping it all inside and feeling all the weight in your chest, just how does it feel? Depression drowns us all senseless. The sickness comes and takes over our territory as it pleases. Perhaps the emotions of endless sadness, dying happiness, and troubling feelings have always been our friends. Yet, we're finally letting these inner emotions surface. They suck, I kid you not. You can't sleep nor seek any rest, because you're stuck in a wroolpool of shabby thoughts. The pain doesn't make sense, everything happens for reasons, and we know. Though, no one could have prepared us. At your saddest, your best isn't even enough. You hardly know who your best is. Though you trudge on, you sink low, but by the morning your high again. Or at least you pretend. Your continuance happens.

A Runner's Emotion

Lost of words, feelings, and action. We hide from our feelings, though we can't quiet hide from ourselves. The forside is easy, but the emptiness isn't. Humans carry on and on, who would we be if we didn't? Pain can't show, no matter how much it hurts or troubles. Vivid imagery of trauma, despair, neglect, and heartbreak aren't erasable. You're perhaps too numb to cry or seek help, you're simply existing. You look for time trying not to feel, but late nights, dark nights, lonely nights, well perhaps they hurt more. We run, we run fast, slow, or at a steady pace. Either way we run instead of embracing these feelings. One may have not been themselves for months, a year, or going on years, though a runner's emotion runs. Many hardly ever open up, due to the lack of empathy society broadcast. Everyone is fighting battles of their own, but everyone runs and carries a runner's emotion. As humans, we can only be "alright" and "fine" a few times before we aren't. Mentally and physically. We're only okay until we're forced not to be.

The World Smiles, But What About YOU?

In a world full of people, you just feel as the lonely one. This life is beautiful though it's painful for some. This isn't a world created of happiness. Instead, this is a world decorated of bright colors, passion, and enjoyment. As humans we make this world smile. But, when we're down and out where is our bright and shiny armor? At your lowest, your best is reached through you. It's time to get back up, start again, and find enjoyment in even the smallest of things. Quarantine has us all down. So I'll say find hobbies, and further learn you as a being. As the world smiles and carries on, find a place where you feel you'd belong. You belong here, so leaving here isn't an option. Correction, more so find your happiness here, around friends, family, pets, or doing something you love. Find courage in this lifetime to beat your depression. You’ve had the courage to pretend and continue on, the two require almost the same energy. Why not choose happiness?

Courage

The strength to carry on reveals one's courage. Well what is courage one may ask? Courage is the act of doing something rash and or dangerous. It's the risk of completing the impossible. Standing up to a bully, quitting your job with no backup plan, and or leaving the thing or person. Courage is your continance of reamaining afloat, even when the task seems harder.
